Jay School Corporation is providing free meals again for children younger than 18 this summer.
Drive-thru pickup meals will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays starting June 4 at Jay County Junior-Senior High School. They’ll be available at Door 16 behind the auxiliary gym. Pickup meals include five breakfasts and five lunches.
A traditional meal service will also be offered starting June 2 at West Jay Community Center in Dunkirk and Jay Community Center in Portland. West Jay Community Center’s breakfast will be served from 8 to 9 a.m., and lunch from 11 a.m. to noon. Jay Community Center’s breakfast will be served from 9 to 9:30 a.m. and lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. Meals must be eaten on site.
All meals will be provided on a first come, first served basis. For questions, contact the Jay Schools food service director at (260) 726-9306.
Madison alumni
Madison Township High School Alumni Association will host its annual banquet starting at 4 p.m. May 31 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 204 E. Arch St., Portland.
Tickets are $20 per person, and reservations with checks payable to Madison Alumni should be mailed to Dennis Theurer, 14429 E 196th St., Noblesville, Indiana 46060. The deadline to register is today. For questions, call (317) 999-0429 or email [email protected].
Camps set
Indiana State Police has announced its dates and locations for its summer camps, including several in Anderson.
Pioneer Camps, which are by recommendation only, will be held for 11 through 14 year olds in June, with one set for June 16 through 19 at Mounds State Park in Anderson.
