Miriam E. “Midge” DeBolt, 93, Huntington, died Nov. 19, 2025.
She was a former resident of Decatur, born July 20, 1932, in Jay County, and a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.
Midge worked for the U.S. government in Panama during the Korean War when her husband, Marion, was stationed there. She also worked as a secretary for the Jay County School Corporation for 11 years while raising her family.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Reef, Geneva; three sons, Joseph (Gina) Algonquin, Illinois, Robert (Brenda) Sanibel, Florida, and Philip (Lois) Roanoke, Indiana; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion; and two siblings, James Weaver and Betty King.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home at 11 a.m., with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
