Barbara Ann Gibson, age 70, of Horse Cave, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at The Medical Center at Caverna.
The Anderson native was born on June 14, 1955, to the late Jimmie Vance and Betty Wright Straley. She was married to her devoted husband, Bill Gibson, who survives.
Barbara retired after dedicating many years of service to Red Gold, a well-known tomato processing company in Geneva. Her deep compassion for animals touched many lives, as she not only cared for animals personally but also made generous contributions to local animal shelters.
Barbara was an avid crafter who took special joy in sewing cozy coats that she donated to the dogs at the shelters, where she blended her creativity with her love for animals.
Besides her husband, Bill, she leaves to honor her daughters, Lona Jackson (Clint) and Rhonda Walker (Robert), all of Muncie, and Terry Holows (Steven) of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and siblings Melba Beaver, Ronnie Vance and Alice Imel (Gregory).
She was also preceded in death by her son, Wesley Snyder; along with several brothers and sisters.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Patton Funeral Home Cave City Chapel.
