Museum of the Soldier will partner with Mercer County Historical Society this weekend on an exhibit and program.
The exhibit at Mercer County Historical Society, 130 E. Market St., Celina, Ohio, will feature soldiers’ “keepsakes,” a historical legacy of service men and women’s mementos from the front. Also included will be an exhibit of M-1 Garand Rifles and The Battle of Fort Recovery memorabilia. The program will run from noon until 4 p.m.
The public is also invited to bring military memorabilia for Museum of the Soldier staff to aid in identification, history and other information.

Flute ensemble
Registration is open for flute ensemble classes offered through MusicWorks at Arts Place.
Flute Ensemble is open to all experienced flute players. This performance-oriented ensemble may have performance opportunities, including an Arts Place Christmas concert. Classes are from 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays starting Oct. 27 through Dec. 15. The cost is $15 and deadline to register is 5 p.m. Nov. 3.

Lunch and learn
John Jay Center for Learning’s lunch and learn series continues next month.
David Bailey, a retired architect and author, will present Muncie Super Bandit (Gangster) at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 6 at the learning center, 101 S. Meridian St, Portland.
Advance reservations are $5 and are intended for seniors ages 55 and older.
