Hospital to serve veterans meal

Adams Memorial Hospital offers a free meal to veterans on Veteran’s Day.

This year’s meal for veterans is slated for Nov. 11. Veterans may stop by the hospital at 1100 Mercer Ave., Decatur, for lunch between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. or for dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. 

Veterans from each branch of the  military are invited to attend. They’re also welcome to bring one guest.

Alcove artists

Alcove Artists' Collective will be hosting a pop-up gallery next weekend.

Artists will gather in small groups around downtown Portland to create art. 

In the event of poor weather, they’ll work from John Jay Center for Learning.

Alcove Artists' Collective pieces are also on display at Arts Place now through Dec. 4.
