Free admission offered
A free opportunity to explore is coming up.
Limberlost State Historic Site in Geneva will offer free admission Monday, Jan. 19, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
It is part of a statewide initiative to offer free admission at nearly all Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites through support from the Lacy Foundation.
The Limberlost site at 200 E. 6th St., Geneva, is typically closed on Mondays, but will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the holiday. Visitors will be able to take a guided tour of author and naturalist Gene Stratton-Porter’s home at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Self-guided hikes through the Limberlost Conservation Area Nature Preserves will also be offered. (Trail maps will be available at the historic site.)
