AS I SEE IT
Celebration can now be enjoyed
It is a beautiful day outside today.
The worst may soon be behind us
We survived February. There were a few days when I had my doubts that March would ever come.
Something always leads to worry
Our daughter and her family live in Texas. If you have been following the news then I don’t need to say more.
Thankfully, renewal is complete
Thank goodness that is over. I am now in possession of a brand new driver’s license.
Vaccine is easier than one would expect
The people were so efficient that if they had chosen to, and had enough vaccine, they could have vaccinated the entire town in the matter of a few days.
Believe the facts this Groundhog Day
Groundhog day is today.
Boredom for a child can lead to good things
Almost every week since the virus turned our lives upside down I have seen articles about how to keep your child busy. There are descriptions of projects to do, activities to participate in and various other suggestions.
Microwaving popcorn instead of politics
Did you know that today is National Popcorn Day? Apparently the National Popcorn Board cooked it up.
What’s in the past cannot be rehashed
It is almost the middle of January. Time for my mom to ask if my tulips are blooming yet. They are not.
Birthday catalyzes a timely reflection
Our granddaughter, Emma, turned 15 on January 4. I find it hard to believe that she can possibly be that old. 15!
Books are respite from current reality

Uncertainty plagues non-traditional Christmas
Only a few more days to Christmas. The packages have been mailed. There is a chance that they will get to their destination on time. I usually have good luck with the post office but the way this year is going all bets are off.
Spirit of Christmas still prevails
I need to perform elective surgery this week. The carving I am working on has one arm that is half the size of the other.
Christmas brings more of the same
Can you believe how fast time is going these days?
Christmas will be different this year
Somehow I have acquired an unexpected bag full of Christmas decorations.
