Eta Chi Chapter of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority met May 6 for a business meeting at Mount Tabor Hall in Dunkirk. President Marsha Eglin opened the meeting with the pledge. The secretary read the minutes of the April meeting that were approved. Shari Van Nueland gave the treasurer’s report.

FR car show set for Friday

Fort Street Car Classics will host a cruise-in from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in downtown Fort Recovery. Cars, trucks and motorcycles are all welcome to participate. Proceeds will be used to fund automotive scholarships and community organizations. For more information, call (419) 375-4908.

Minnetrista to host garden fair Saturday

Minnetrista Museum and Gardens will host its Garden Fair from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10.

Cincinnatus seeks nominees

The organization honors those who have contributed to the Jay County community through volunteer efforts by inducting them into the Jay County Hall of Fame at the fairgrounds in Portland. This year’s ceremony is slated for July 2.

Jay County Civic Theatre will hold auditions for its September production of “Legally Blonde The Musical” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, and Tuesday, May 6, at the Jay County Campus of Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland.
