The East Jay seventh grade boys basketball team had a balanced scoring effort as it stayed undefeated with a 39-25 win over South Adams Tuesday. The eighth grade team also beat the Starfires, 38-36.

South Adams’ girls swim team managed just two wins. The short-handed boys team pulled off five, and the result was still almost identical.
West Jay downs Rebels (01/15/04)
West Jay’s boys basketball teams controlled both games Wednesday to pick up a couple of victories. The eighth grade team scored at least 16 points in three quarters in a 57-38 win, and the seventh grade team picked up a 41-33 victory.

The Jay County boys and girls freshman teams each earned victories Monday.
Patriots dominate Blackford, Marion (01/08/04)
The host Blackford Bruins and the Marion Giants didn’t get to take home many ribbons Wednesday. Instead Jay County dominated the three-team gymnastics meet, barely allowing the other two teams a glimmer of hope.
Starfires split against Bluffton (01/09/04)
The South Adams swim teams were locked into a couple of close battles Thursday, with the girls team scoring an 89-81 win over the Bluffton Tigers. The Starfire boys lost 88-82.

The Jay County swim teams were both close Thursday, but both suffered losses to Bellmont.

Solid defense lifted the Fort Recovery freshman girls basketball team to a 26-19 victory over the St. Henry Redskins Monday.

Southside tops Patriots (12/04/03)
Two-thirds of the Patriots’ victories Wednesday came on pins. Unfortunately, the Jay County wrestling team only won three total matches in slipping to 2-4 on the year with a 45-16 loss to the Muncie Southside Rebels.
Jay County struggles in ECIC (12/29/03)
Jay County had a rough day as it hosted the East Central Indiana Classic Saturday, as just one wrestler made a run at a title.
