A former Jay County Jail correctional officer has been sentenced to one year of home detention for engaging in sexual acts with an inmate.

On July 9 at the Jay County 4-H dairy goat show, Ty Paxson showed the overall grand champion dairy wether while Benton Langenkamp had the overall grand champion dairy doe. Aubree McClure showed the grand champion mother/daughter.
May, Hutzler set the tone in dairy beef show
Carter May showed the grand champion dairy beef feeder July 8 during the 4-H dairy beef show at the Jay County Fair while Jordyn Hutzler had the grand champion dairy beef steer.
Hemmelgarn, Sims show top pygmy goats
Hemmelgarn showed the grand champion pygmy wether for the second year in a row July 9 during the Jay County 4-H pygmy goat show at the Jay County Fair.
Siegrist and Garringer lead meat goats
Siegrist showed the grand champion overall breeding doe July 9 from the Jay County 4-H meat goat show. He was also the champion intermediate showman.
