Jay Schools will be closed for the next four weeks.
Closing and preparing
Fort Recovery schools will be closed beginning Tuesday. Jay School Corporation has released an “initial concept” of how it would handle a potential long-term closure. After-school activities, field trips and extracurriculars have also been suspended for 30 days.
All in for state
Jay County will take three high school teams and three middle school teams to Indianapolis on Saturday for the Indiana VEX Robotics State Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Jay gets B grade
Jay School Corporation was rated above average by Indiana Department of Education in its annual school accountability report for the 2018-19 school year, the same grade it has received every year since 2015. The report was released in full Wednesday.
