South Adams students to compete

Students from South Adams High School will compete in the Indiana Skills USA contest in Indianapolis on April 17 after placing in the top four of their competition at the regional contest in Fort Wayne.

Teacher receives a creativity grant

Sally Morrison, a Spanish teacher at South Adams High School in Berne, was awarded a 2010 Teacher Creativity Fellowship grant.

NCGLNAC classes available

The National Center for Great Lakes Native American Culture 2010 Spring Cultural Arts Classes will be held Saturday, March 27, and Sunday, March 28, in the Women's Building at Jay County Fairgrounds in Portland.

March events to take place at Jay Library

Jay County Public Library will have story times on Monday, March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 10 a.m. and Tuesday, March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 1 p.m.

Chicago dance group to be at Arts Place

Thodos Dance from Chicago will perform on Saturday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m. at Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St. in Portland.
