It’s almost time for the band to spring into action. Jay County High School Band Department will perform its spring concert at 2 p.m. May 4 in the high school auditorium. The concert will feature performances from the jazz band, color guard and concert band.

Ball State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present dance adaptation “Blooding Wedding” at 7:30 p.m. April 11, 12, 15, 16, 17 and 18, and 2:30 p.m. April 13 and 19, at Korsgaard Dance Studio at BSU.
Redkey alumni banquet slated for end of month
Redkey alumni banquet is slated for April 26 at Redkey Elementary School, 500 W. Main St. Registration will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the meal to be served at 5:30 p.m. and a program to follow. Special classes recognized this year include alumni from 1945, 1955, 1965 and 1975.
JCCT ‘Legally Blonde’ auditions are in May
Jay County Civic Theatre will hold auditions for its September production of “Legally Blonde The Musical” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, and Tuesday, May 6, at the Jay County Campus of Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland.
Mobile lung screenings coming to Jay
Indiana’s first mobile lung screening program will be available to Jay County residents next week.
Brick Street Market returns in April

Kindergarten enrollment to start
Jay School Corporation will host its Kindergarten Round-Up events April 3 at elementary schools. The schedule is as follows: 8:30 a.m. at Bloomfield Elementary, 4 p.m. at East Elementary, 5:30 p.m. at West Jay Elementary and 6 p.m. at Redkey Elementary.
