There’s a new event slated for this year’s Fire Up DWNTWN in Muncie.
Awareness event set for Saturday
Jay County Drug Prevention Coalition and Peer Addiction Support Team (PAST) Recovery Services have joined with other organizations to host the informational event from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Roush Park, 925 W. Silver St.
Registration open
Registration is now open for Arts Place MusicWorks classes at the organization’s Jay County and Blackford County facilities.

Food pantry will be available Thursday
Jay County Public Library’s pop-up food pantry is tomorrow. The one-day pantry started last year returns from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday.

Two board members were re-elected to lead a local theatre group. Another board member was selected for her first term.
Coalition grant applications close Monday
The organization is accepting applications to award grants from the Jay County Alcohol and Drug Countermeasures fund this year.
