Jay County Council heard Wednesday that IU Health Jay officials have indicated a willingness to donate property near Jay Emergency Medical Service’s base in Portland.

Jay County Commissioners agreed to move forward Monday with a second round of projects involved in the owner-occupied rehabilitation program. Jay County community coordinator Darlesia Lee also announced some construction projects from the first round are beginning this week.

County officials are looking into software changes for a few county offices. Jay County Council heard Wednesday from Jay County auditor Emily Franks and Jay County Treasurer’s Office first deputy Jonelle Foreman about a need to update financial and property tax software.
