Jay County Democrats elected former Portland mayor Randy Geesaman (pictured) as their new party chair during a reorganization meeting Friday. Former Redkey Town Council member Doug Stanley was also a candidate for the post but withdrew in support of Geesaman. “He’s the guy,” he said.

The Jay County Democrats elected former two-term Portland mayor Randy Geesaman as their new chair during a reorganization meeting Friday evening. Indiana Democratic Party 3rd District Chair Chad Wierzbinski led the meeting.
