Dunkirk City Council on Monday approved the funds for demolition of a house at 617 S. Main St. that was destroyed earlier this month by a fire. Dunkirk Mayor Jack Robbins explained that the structure was not insured, thus leaving it to the city to tear down. Council member Jess Bivens noted that the structure was a safety hazard following the fire. (The Commercial Review/Ray Cooney)
