Photo detail

Jay County Junior-Senior High School math teacher Sophia Fugiett walks into her classroom in the mobile unit that will go into use Monday. The 10 classrooms in the mobile unit set up adjacent to the main gym at the school will house the students and teachers displaced when the Sept. 22 tornado damaged the school. Jay School Corporation superintendent Jeremy Gulley expects the mobile classrooms to be in use for the rest of the year. The goal is to have the junior high/IMC (library) wing of the building reconstructed and ready for the start of the 2025-26 school year. (The Commercial Review/Ray Cooney)
