Portland Police Department installed radar speed signs this week on Blaine Pike and Seventh Street. Pictured above, the sign along Blaine Pike near its intersection with county road 150 South records a truck’s speed as it enters Portland. The signs are portable, meaning they can be moved and mounted to other signs throughout the city. Portland Street and Parks Department superintendent Matt Shauver noted plans to pour concrete bases for each of the potential locations to avoid putting too much weight on the sign poles.
