Breaking: Board to advertise
Jay School Board
Jay School Board approved Monday to advertise its 2015 budget just over $37 million.
The budget, which must be advertised twice and then be reviewed at a public hearing before being approved in September, calls for nearly $26 million in the general fund. That money comes from the state.
The remainder is split between debt service, pension debt service, capital projects, transportation and bus replacement. Those funds are raised through local property taxes at an estimated $1.37 per $100 of assessed value.
For full details on the budget, read Tuesday’s edition of The Commercial Review.
