Alcove Artists’ Collective will hold a paint out pop up event Saturday. Local artists will display their skills and artwork outside Mrs. P’s Kitchen and in the brick alley next to the business from 8 a.m. to noon.
Civic theatre elects officers
Jay County Civic Theatre elected officers for 2025-26 during its regular meeting Wednesday evening. Re-elected were Ray Cooney as president, Lee Osteen as vice president and Reid Knuth as secretary. Katie Loy was newly elected as treasurer.

FR car show set for Friday
Fort Street Car Classics will host a cruise-in from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in downtown Fort Recovery. Cars, trucks and motorcycles are all welcome to participate. Proceeds will be used to fund automotive scholarships and community organizations. For more information, call (419) 375-4908.
Minnetrista to host garden fair Saturday
Minnetrista Museum and Gardens will host its Garden Fair from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10.
Cincinnatus seeks nominees
The organization honors those who have contributed to the Jay County community through volunteer efforts by inducting them into the Jay County Hall of Fame at the fairgrounds in Portland. This year’s ceremony is slated for July 2.
