Dylan Baughman, 20, Portland, invasion of privacy, a Class A misdemeanor — Sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail, to be served consecutive to the sentence imposed in an August 2013 case of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class A misdemeanor, with all suspended. As part of a plea agreement, counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage were dismissed. He was assessed court costs of $168 and placed on formal probation for 12 months.
Dylan Baughman, 20, Portland, probation violation, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class A misdemeanor — Sentenced to remainder of his suspended sentence at Jay County Jail after allegedly committing the crime of theft in December 2013.
Douglas Henry, 48, Portland, failure to appear, a Class A misdemeanor — Sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail, with all but 60 days suspended. The sentence is to be served on electronically monitored home detention. He was assessed court costs of $168 and placed on formal probation for 10 months.
John Yates Jr., 28, Celina, Ohio, operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent of .15 percent or more, a Class A misdemeanor — Sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail, with all but four days suspended. As part of a plea agreement, counts of failure to stop after accident resulting in non-vehicle damage and operating a vehicle while intoxicated were dismissed. He was given four days credit for two days served and was assessed court costs of $168.50. He was ordered to pay a $200 alcohol and drug countermeasures fee and a $400 substance abuse program fee. He was placed on formal probation for 12 months, and the court recommended Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles suspend his driver’s license for 90 days, which began pre-conviction on Sept. 15.
Steven Cook, 24, Muncie, possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor, and carrying a handgun without a license, a Class A misdemeanor — On the count of possession of a controlled substance, he was sentenced to one year in Jay County, with all but two days suspended. He was given two days credit for one day served and was fined $100. He was assessed court costs of $181 and ordered to pay a $200 drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee and a $400 substance abuse program fee. He was placed on formal probation for 11 months. On the count of carrying a handgun without a license, he was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail, to be served concurrently to the count of possession of a controlled substance, with all but two days suspended. He was given two days credit for one day served and fined $100. The court recommended Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles suspend his operator’s license, existing motor vehicle registrations and ability to register motor vehicles for 180 days.
