To the editor:
First of all, I would like to thank you for printing my June 2 letter on volunteer firemen running for town boards.
I am writing this one to all volunteer firemen if you have not sent a letter to your legislator down at the Indiana Statehouse stating your displeasure about the law they passed that you cannot be a fireman and serve on the town board.
You spent a lot of time, training and money to be a fireman. Voice your opinion. Don’t sit back and let someone else do it for you.
I have had a lot of firemen tell me that law is wrong. But if you don’t speak out you will get what you deserve.
