Portland Park Board on Tuesday approved a modified design for the proposed Portland Water Park that will allow for diving entries on both ends of the competition pool while leaving most of the facility at a 42-inch depth.
The modified plans call for a “hump-back” design in the lap-pool area, with a depth of 6 feet on the north end, 4 feet on the south end and 3 feet, 6 inches, in the middle. The change is not expected to add to the cost of the project.
