A honor well-deserved
Editorial
It’s difficult to imagine a better choice.
For generations, Leo Glogas has repeatedly demonstrated that he has the best interests of Jay County’s young people at heart.
As a mentor, a booster, a substitute teacher, an advocate, a civic leader, and as role model, Leo has been there for Jay County’s kids.
When West Jay Middle School principal Michael Crull suggested dedicating the newly-renovated school library in Leo’s honor, the school board couldn’t vote yes fast enough. Every member of the board and all of the school administration know the honor could not be more fitting.
Now, Leo is likely to argue with that.
It’s in his nature that he’d start suggesting others more deserving.
But this time, don’t listen to him.
The honor makes splendid sense.
The only wonder about the whole thing is that someone didn’t think of something like it sooner.
It’s a great way to say thank you to a great guy for all the good things he has done over the years. — J.R.[[In-content Ad]]
