A taste of home
Editorial
It was easy today to recognize folks who went to "A Taste of Jay County" on Sunday. They were the people eating lightly or vowing to cut some calories.
What a feast.
Nearly two dozen Jay County restaurants, caterers, and food markets went together to offer samples of their fare for the first-ever event sponsored by the Jay County Chamber of Commerce.
The food was marvelous - almost overwhelming in its abundance and outstanding in its appeal - and the company was great. There's something fun about seeing 200-plus local residents getting together on a Sunday afternoon for "a little snack." Well, maybe more than "little."
Clearly, the chamber has a hit on its hands.
And just as clearly, we're fortunate to live in a community with so much talent in the kitchen.
Mark your calendar as soon as the date for next year's event is announced.
That will give you plenty of time to diet in advance so you can make the most of it. - J.R.[[In-content Ad]]
