ABATE thanks
Editor's Mailbag
By To the editor:-
On behalf of Jay County ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education) I would like to thank the following for their time and assistance for our motorcycle awareness and memorial ride on April 24: Portland Mayor Bruce Hosier, Portland Police, Jay County Sheriff’s Reserves, Dunkirk Mayor Sam Hubbard, Dunkirk Police, and the Hickory Grove Church.
With your help, we had a very successful ride. Jay County ABATE has not been active until the last two years. This was our first ride since, and everyone appreciated the courtesy and helpfulness of everyone.
May is Motorcycle Safety and Awareness month. Please watch out for motorcycles as the weather becomes warmer.
Sincerely,
Donna Landers
