Anna stomps Fort Recovery

ANNA, Ohio — Nights don’t get much longer than this.
The Fort Recovery Indians took a thorough thumping Friday at the hands of Anna, who sent the visitors back home on the wrong end of a 61-3 score. Aside from a first quarter field goal by Aaron Vagedes, the Indians simply could get nothing going.
Anna rolled up 510 yards in total offense, with 343 of those on the ground, while holding Fort Recovery to 111 yards offensively. The Indians rushed for a net 72 yards and passed for 39.
Anna jumped out to a 7-3 first quarter lead but pulled away completely in the second period, outscoring the Indians 34-0 and going into the half time locker room with a 41-3 lead.
Dexter Bensman led the Anna rushing attack with 145 yards, while Anna quarterback Jay Meyer completed 8 of 12 passes for 167 yards.
Vagedes led the Indians rushing game with 4 yards, while Jason Pottkotter completed 3 of 10 passes.[[In-content Ad]]
