Area students to showcase art (03/13/07)
More than 150 students from Jay, Mercer, Wayne, Delaware, Henry and Randolph counties will be showcasing their work at the 2007 Regional Student Art Show at Arts Place in Portland.
The show opens Thursday with a reception from 3 to 6 p.m. and continues through April 28.
The exhibit will be displayed in the Hugh N. Ronald Gallery in Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday noon to 4 p.m.
Local participants in the show include:
Arts Place Innovations Classes - Randy Wolford, Amelia Freeman, Ian James, Jimmy Barry, Zach James, Adam Burk and Marcie Burk.
Jay County High School - Randy Wolford, Theresa Reinhart, Erin McKibben, Nicole Pfeifer, Kelly Weaver and Tina Gingrasso.
West Jay Middle School - Trevor Blankenbaker, Latrisha McEwen, Morgan Hicks, Sara Lennartz, Dezera Clay, Ryan Miskinis, Spencer Grady and Arthur Lamb.
Bloomfield Elementary - Evan Van Cise, Clara Graber, Mya Walker, Kylie Osborne, Eden Andrews, Megan Wellman, Justin Dirkson and Amber Huelskamp.
East Elementary - Jessie Duncan, Alyson Lucas, Larissa Boles, Ava Kunkler, Allisyn Smith, Chaz Carrol, Kaitlen Wood and Sarah Jellison.
Judge Haynes Elementary - Kassandra Loper and Cheyanne Dull.
Pennville Elementary - Kelsey Smith, Phillip Fox, Mariah Schaadt, Mackenzie Southerland, Logan Hollingsworth, Kayle Marin, Mayson LeMaster and Kaitlin Roush.
