Board wishes luck to new owners (12/31/04)
Editor's Mailbag
By To the editor:-
These days, nothing lasts forever, and so it is for the Portland Country Club.
Since 1922 a lot of people have given their time, talents and money to keep the club going. As most of the stories go, it has always struggled to keep ahead.
However, now that the new owners have taken over, a new run can start and we wish Dave and Roberta Puckett much success and an even longer run.
At the same time, we would like to thank all the members, stockholders and players that have supported the club in making it an exceptional asset to our community and to continue support for the new club.
Now, as Paul Harvey would say, “page two.”
