Boot money is approved
Jay County Commissioners
The Jay County Commissioners approved a measure Monday that would help highway department employees pay for work boots.
Jay County Highway Superintendent Ken Wellman presented the commissioners with an amendment to the department’s safety handbook, which would authorize a stipend of $75 every two years to each employee to purchase work boots.
The commissioners unanimously approved the amendment.
In other business Monday afternoon, the commissioners:
•Signed a resolution adopting a Jay County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan.
•Approved two easements for CenturyLink at county road 500 East near 700 South and at county road 375 West between 800 North and Ind. 18.[[In-content Ad]]
