Bremer, Backfish wed

Hannah Patton Bremer and Aaron Levi Backfish were wed in a Feb. 14, ceremony at United Presbyterian Church in Bloomington. The bride’s parents, Dr. Steven and the Rev. Paula Bremer, former Portland residents, performed the ceremony.

Sister of the bride, Elizabeth Bremer, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Aileen Ball, Tanya Stephans and Barbara Wells.

Abbey Des Rochers, cousin of the bride, and Gretchen Backfish, niece of the groom, were the flowergirls.

Performing the services of best man was Tim Eby.

Groomsmen were John York, Ryan Johnson and Anthony Kimmich.

Debbie Myers was the organist and pianist for the wedding.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Abe Martin Lodge at Brown County State Park, Nashville.

The couple celebrated with a wedding trip to Nashville.

Hannah is the daughter of Dr. Steven and the Rev. Paula Bremer, Lodi, Wis.

Aaron is the son of Ronald Backfish, Terre Haute and Rhonda Carroll, Crawfordsville.

The couple resides in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
