Bulldogs hand Fort Recovery fourth straight loss (04/11/06)

CELINA, Ohio — Fort Recovery’s softball team dropped its fourth straight game Monday following a three-game winning streak, falling 11-1 in five innings to the host Celina Bulldogs.

The Indians (3-5) fell behind 2-0 in the first inning and never recovered. They gave up four runs each in the third and fourth innings, committing four errors along the way.

Beth May suffered the loss, allowing 11 runs — six earned — on six hits and five walks.

Sandra Sudhoff had a couple of stolen bases and scored the lone Tribe run. Ciera Rammel had a double, and Renee Evers, Kelsie Will, Jodi Tobe and Val Fortkamp each added a single.

FORT RECOVERY — The Indians scored five times in the bottom of the fourth inning, but were already well behind in a 41-6, five-inning loss to Celina.

Heidi Tobe suffered the defeat as she tossed three innings. Carla Guggenbiller and Kim Willmann each pitched in relief.

Ashley Grube led the offense with two hits, and Joanna Snyder and Kelly Sudhoff each had a hit and an RBI. Kim Willmann, Kris Willmann and Jessica Siegrist each added one hit.[[In-content Ad]]
