Bush a great leader
Editor's Mailbag
By To the editor:-
(An open letter to our brave, courageous, wonderful President, Mr. George W. Bush).
I believe, like Abraham Lincoln, you are providentially placed in our country’s highest office to keep our country united and to preserve our great nation and to free people abroad and to keep our great nation free.
Every time I recall the 6 million Jews, watch the movie Pearl Harbor and other sacrifices made by our fellow Americans, I am forced to thank God every day that I am here on this Earth and that you are a leader — a great, just, sturdy, consistent, grounded, goal-oriented leader.
The goal to see that American remains free and to be a part of helping others in other countries realize the same dream for their lives.
Continue on. May God open the eyes of all Americans to see the great band of angels helping us to fight and to win the battle — just as Elijah requested for his servant’s eyes to be opened.
Lead on. Our prayers are with you.
I believe it was Co. James H. Doolittle who said “victory belongs to those who believe in it the most ... believe in it the longest. We’re gonna believe. We’re gonna make America believe, too.”
President Franklin D. Roosevelt was reported as saying, “Do not tell me it cannot be done ... and to stand upon ramparts and die for our principles is heroic, but to sally forth to battle and win for our principles is something more than heroic.”
A member of the British Parliament, Edmund Burke, said something 250 years ago that still resonates today: “All that is necessary for evil to prevail in the world is that good men do nothing.” (Taken from Dr. James Dobson’s Focus on the Family Bulletin).
Lead on, Mr. President. You are doing a wonderful job.
Sincerely,
Sue McBride
