Bush policies are bad

To the editor:

Every couple in our age and taxable income bracket got no help from Bush’s tax cuts. In fact, we have had less money to spend every year since 1999. With all the lies and half-truths the Bush gang is trying to make us believe makes Clinton look like a great leader.

When the GOP took over from Carter the debt was around $1 trillion. When they left the White House 12 years later it was around $5 trillion. The Democrats paid it off in eight years and gave Bush a big surplus. But, like father like son, it did not take young Bush long to get rid of that by giving it away to the rich.

Bush said no child will be left behind. If he would have said no millionaire will be left behind I would believe that.

Bush said I don’t intend to lose this time. He will probably have $300 million to buy votes with but he does not have enough to buy our votes. I think he will do or say anything to get four more years.

How many trillions will we be in debt by the end of this year?

I am in my 80s and have always heard war is a rich man’s war and a poor man’s fight. Now we have two rich war dodgers in the White House.

With their tax cuts I guess they are getting richer. I would like to have what Bush saved on his taxes for my yearly income. I’d pay my federal income taxes with a smile.
