Cancer walk planned (5/1/03)

Last year, the Jay County Cancer Society sponsored its inaugural Walk Against Cancer. The walk raised money for the Jay County Cancer Society. The society offers financial assistance to Jay County cancer patients.

The event raised close to $10,000. Since the event was such a success, the financial assistance for Jay County residents was increased to $1,000 this year. The assistance helps pay for cancer costs that are not covered by insurance.

Please remember the Jay County Cancer Society’s Walk Against Cancer on June 14. Entertainment and concessions are available during the event.

The Walk Against Cancer is at the Jay County High School track from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds stay here in the county to benefit our friends, family and neighbors at a time when they need it the most.

Registration forms are available at the Jay County Hospital and the Jay County Public Library. Please join us.
