NEW BREMEN, Ohio — The New Bremen Cardinals dropped Fort Recovery back below the .500 mark in conference play, topping the Indians 8-2 Thursday.
Joanna Snyder suffered the loss, allowing five runs — four earned — on four hits in three innings. Fort Recovery is now 7-13 and 2-3 in the Midwest Athletic Conference.
Kelsie Will and Jennifer Link each had a hit and an RBI, and Renee Evers added a hit and a run. Jodi Tobe finished with two hits, Ciera Rammel notched one hit and Kinsey Wenning scored a run.
Junior varsity
FORT RECOVERY — For six innings Becca Brunswick was in control. But New Bremen came alive in the seventh, scoring all of its runs in the final frame of a 7-4 victory over the Indians.
Brunswick struck out eight and walked four in taking the defeat.
Amy Hart had a pair of doubles for the Indians, who scored once in the second inning, twice in the fourth and once in the sixth. LeAnne Tobin had a triple, and Ashley Grube also added a double.[[In-content Ad]]
