Cast invites public to show

Letter to the Editor

To the editor: Assassins: A musical. “This is a hilarious and disturbing musical about individuals who when they don’t get the dreams they’ve been promised, take the worst kind of consolation prize: The life of their nation’s president.”
We know when most people hear about this production, they don’t really associate it with a “fun” night out. We apologize if we offend anyone with the strong language, but once you give the musical a try, you will walk away enlightened to at least one aspect of American history.
We are asking the community to come and support our local theatre. We know this isn’t the regular show that everyone knows, but every once in a while you need to get a little bit of variety. If we can have the support of the community and larger audiences, we will be able to continue the Jay County Civic Theatre tradition of wonderful productions.
We have a very talented cast and have put many hours into this production. This show features Greg Ashley, Nathaniel Spencer, Jason and Jennifer McGraw, Darrin and Joel Sanderson, André Whetstone, Erik Ridgway, Matt Warner, Steve Johnson and many others.
It is a great production, so please come and enjoy a fun night out with us. Help Jay County Civic Theatre Inc. keep live theatre alive in Jay County. Shows are tonight at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland.
