Looking for a way to celebrate springtime, shake off the cobwebs, and kick off the warm weather months?
You'll have your chance today.
That's when the Arch Bridge Kroozers host their annual "Kroozen the Courthouse" event in downtown Portland.
If you've attended before, you know that it's a great time to re-connect with folks, take a look at some marvelous vintage cars, trucks, and hot rods, listen to some tunes from the 1950s and 1960s, and grab a bite to eat.
If you've never attended, you are in for a treat.
When the Kroozers launched the event several years back, no one really knew what to expect. Would it draw a crowd? Would it be a good time? Would it attract car enthusiasts from surrounding areas?
The answer was yes on all three counts, and these days it's one of the events on the local calendar we really look forward to.
Part of its appeal may simply be that it's so informal. You can stroll down Main Street, ogle the cars, and visit with friends. You can hang around for hours or you can just drop in. There's no hassle and there's no pressure.
Registration for participating vehicles is from 4 to 6 p.m., and they'll be on display from 6 to 9 p.m. this evening. Check it out. - J.R[[In-content Ad]]
