Christmas lights aren't so nice
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
OK. Maybe it is not my place to say anything, but I hear other people complaining and nothing gets done. I am talking about the Christmas lights in this town.
Why are they all white?
And this year, some of the trees do not even light up.
When I drive down the street, I think “yuck,” And do not tell me I am the only one that feels that way, but maybe the only one to finally speak up.
The residential sections are very pretty — the colorful lights and figurines, the nativity scenes.
But the downtown area that should be the highlight is dull and drab and just plain ugly.
So why don’t you people who run the town do something about it?
I remember when this town’s downtown area bloomed at Christmastime — colored lights everywhere and even Christmas carols were played. But like most everything else in this town, they are no more.
Why, why, why?
