Clubs say thank you (12/26/2008)

To the editor:

I would like to take this time to thank everyone that helped the Jay Community Center provide another successful Christmas party for the Jay County Boys and Girls Club.

The kids were all given T-shirts and then they were served pizza, chips, and soft drinks. After the pizza party the kids were treated to a presentation from Jim "Basketball" Jones. This was an awesome opportunity for the kids to see basketball tricks and stunts being performed while receiving an uplifting and encouraging message. After this portion of the evening, the kids were then bused to the Brown Bowl for 2 hours of bowling and fun that led to the conclusion of the evening.

Without the collaborative efforts from an awesome bunch of volunteers, none of this would have been possible. So I would like to give a huge thank you to the following list of people: Jack Houck, Jennifer McGraw, Carolyn Carducci, Leah and Erica Butcher, David Wade, Cole Ingram, Caitlin Ruchgy, Ned Stucky, Ken and Janet Bantz, Chuck Denney, and Tracy Ryder.

Once again, thanks to everyone involved, and here is looking forward to next year!!
