College Goal Sunday schedule

Taking note

College Goal Sunday will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at John Jay Center for Learning in Portland.
Financial aid professionals will volunteer to help college bound students and their families fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The FAFSA is required for students to be considered for federal and state grants, loans and scholarships and the deadline to file is March 10.
Parents should bring completed 2013 IRS 1040 tax returns, W-2 Forms and other 2013 income and benefits information. Students who worked in 2013 should also bring their income information.
Students should also apply for their U.S. Department of Education Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) at www.pin.ed.gov before attending College Goal Sunday.

Screenings    
Fort Recovery Local Schools will have kindergarten screenings on Monday, March 3, and Tuesday, March, 4, at the elementary school. Parents should register their children at www.fortrecoveryschools.org and then click on the link http://kgscreening.youcanbook.me on the elementary home page. The deadline to register is Feb. 21.
