Come try out archery league

We want to invite archers of all ages, whether you’re a beginner or have been shooting for more than 20 years, to participate in the annual indoor archery league held at the Jay County Conservation Club, rural Portland.

Target league is held every Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. starting Jan. 3 and runs through March. The bowhunters league is every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. starting Jan. 4, also through March.

Thursday nights are a make-up evening if you miss during the week or for open shooting.

For conservation club members the league costs $3.50 per person each night and non-members’ league fee is $4.50.

Indoor league is a great opportunity to keep shooting after hunting season is over or to prepare you for the outdoor target season in the spring.

Shooting league also gives kids, youth, and/or families a chance to participate in the sport.
