Commission retains leadership
Portland Planning Commission
The officers will remain the same this year for a local board.
Members of the Portland Planning Commission met briefly Thursday and voted to retain the same officers for 2010.
Vicki Tague will continue to serve as president, Mike Brewster will serve as vice president and Kent McClung will be the secretary.
Board members also voted to retain Pati McLaughlin as recording secretary and Bill Hinkle as legal council. This was the commission's first meeting of the year. Commission member Ron Laux also was reappointed to the Jay County Planning Commission.
Also Thursday, commission members briefly discussed the city's business prospects.
Tague, who also is the executive director of Jay County Chamber of Commerce, said, "I think we're going to continue to see some positive things take place.
"There continues to be activity in commercial and retail," she added.[[In-content Ad]]
