Community called to prayer event
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
This is a letter to all of Jay County and the churches of this community. We feel and believe that God is calling us to come together on Sunday, Nov. 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Jay County High School auditorium.
The reason for this is that our nation is in an economic crisis, unemployment is high, there is a lot of anger and fear with the youth and insecurity with the elderly. There is no trust in our government with a nation that has a very low confidence in Congress and leadership.
Jesus Christ told us in His word that there would be a confusion that would take place in the nations of the world and an increase of the end time signs before His second coming.
The churches in this nation to a great degree have lost their way.
We have so much apathy and complacency with sin abounding in our ranks, that we are no longer relevant to our culture.
Recent polls have show that only four percent of teenagers between 13- and 18-years-old will become Christians.
We are quickly becoming a “post-Christian” nation. Please come for a night of worship and prayer for our country on this date.
