We have enjoyed all the pre-Christmas activities in Portland this year. Jay County needs to be grateful to all the people who have made these events possible.
We are especially grateful for two very positive experiences we had recently with guests visiting us from out of the area.
First, we participated in the library’s “Santa’s Christmas Workshop,” where our granddaughter (3-years-old) had an awesome time.
The children’s librarian and her assistant did a great job at the event on Saturday, Dec. 13 with the children.
And secondly, some friends from Fort Wayne visited us on Thursday, Dec. 18. They thoroughly enjoyed visiting Fishers, Hunts, White Linen and Cases & Spaces, where the staff persons at each place were very friendly and hospitable
The food at White Linen was very reasonably priced, high quality, and the overall experience was a highlight of their trip.
We are happy to live in this area, and grateful that our visitors of all ages can have a happy time when they come.
