Concerned about rising tide of immigrants (05/09/06)

Letters to the Editor

To the editor:

The long guest opinion from Scott McPherson about the immigrants’ value never mentions the bankrupt hospitals, crowded schools, welfare, crime, and dope entering our country by the swarm of immigrants to our nation.

I agree with James Coleman’s letter: One flag, one language and loyalty to America is what we need.

Wow, How about a $3100 raise in salary for Congress? Talk about greed!

A hardship

To the editor:

My wife was in the Jay County Hospital from April 3 to April 10. During her stay, she had major surgery and was in ICU all that time.

While she was there her clothes and wallet came up missing. It had all her cards in it: Driver’s license, Medicare card, Social Security card, insurance cards, and many more. Also $70 in cash. If returned, the cash could be a reward. No questions asked.

Never happened ever before, but it really causes a hardship when trying to get your life back together.
