Cooney thanked for his stand (9/24/05)
Letters to the Editor
By To the editor:-
I read Ray Cooney’s column, “Do not hit the snooze button,” in Tuesday’s (Sept. 20) edition of The Commercial Review. I would like to publicly commend Ray for his compassion and concern for our area youth.
I have personally observed Ray interacting with a lot of our area youth. He has a wonderful rapport with them.
They flock to him (not just because they might get their picture or a quote in the paper). I believe they truly respect and admire him.
As a parent, I would like to thank Ray for his enlightening column. Sometimes teenagers tune out their parents, but choose to listen to another adult. I had all three of my teenage children read Ray’s column (they all know and respect Ray).
If Ray’s message reaches one young person in our area, it has been a great favor to us all.
Thank you, Ray, for standing up for what you believe in.
Sincerely,
Angie Ingram
