Indiana artist Carol (Thornburg) Spicuzza, who was born and raised in Jay County (Powers Station, to be exact) will be taking part in a traveling exhibition taking place from July through November of this year.

The show begins in London, England with the 5th annual exhibition of the Society for Art of Imagination from July 7-13. Spicuzza is a member of the society, a group of artists who intent to assist the resurgence of interest in fantastic and visionary art. The society is based in London but its members work independently of one another in various countries.

From London, the show will travel to Kirkcudbright, Scotland, for the month of August, and then finally to New York. In New York the show will become part of an exhibition entitled Brave Destiny, which is advertised as the largest show of living surrealist, fantastic and visionary artists in the world. Brave Destiny will be held at the Williamsburg Art and Historical Center in Brooklyn from Sept. 20 through Nov. 2

Spicuzza’s work can be seen at Arts Place now through Aug. 18. Details on the traveling exhibition can be obtained on the society’s website at www.artofimagination.org
