Couple to wed in October (04/08/08)

Tina Renee Kauffman, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Michael Thomas Cain, Orlando, Fla., announce their engagement and approaching marriage on Oct. 4 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando, Fla.

Tina is the daughter of Willard E. and Alanna Kauffman of Ligonier and has friends and family in Portland. She graduated from Westview Jr./Sr. High School in 1996 and earned a bachelor's degree in sports management from Indiana State University in 2000. She is a national teams coordinator for the United States Olympic Committee-paralympics division in Colorado Springs.

Michael is the son of Thomas and Stephanie Cain, Bellevue, Neb. He graduated from Bellevue East High School in 1993 and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and marketing from the University of Kansas in 1996. He also received a law degree in 2000.
